• Matej Korček is a research fellow at IER_SAS. Dr. Korček holds a MSc. and PhD. in international trade and economic theory from the University of economics in Bratislava in 2010 and 2013 respectively. His main area of research is energy economics with focus on natural gas and oil markets.

  He has been covering energy related topics for over ten years and he has several years of experience with practicalities of functioning of European natural gas market while working as an analyst for trading department of energy supplier.

  His current interest of research are issues of energy security and factors affecting price formation on EU natural gas markets.
