Karol Frank is an independent researcher at the Institute of Economic Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on public finance, EU cohesion policy and related regional development. He has extensive experience in evaluating cohesion policy for the European Commission and the Joint Research Centre of the EU. He has also participated in the evaluation and preparation of several studies and evaluation reports for the domestic decision-making sphere.He is a member of the VEGA Commission and the Partnership for Cohesion Policy Working Group at the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic. He currently serves as an advisor to the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic on structural policies.
