The current mobility of people is higher than ever before in modern history and continues to rise sharply, making it one of the defining global issues of the 21st century. From long-term observations, we know that international mobility is not uniform throughout the world, but is shaped by geographical, demographic, political, religious and other factors. The nature of work and knowledge as well as the form of the current global economy require a certain degree of mobility, which promotes the learning process of individual actors. The working paper deals with the issue of mobility of talented workers (talents) in the Slovak Republic. We look not only at qualitative aspects of mobility, but we also ana-lyse the quantitative aspects of this phenomenon. Contrary to the past, it appears that two-way mobili-ty can be of great importance for all participating countries. Based on the analysis of our own surveys as well as statistical data, it can be stated that the position of the Slovak Republic in this respect is unsatisfactory and in order to improve the situation it is necessary to change the concept of approach.
