Head of projectIng. Karol Frank, PhD.
Duration of the project: 2/2012 - 7/2012
Type of grant: International Visegrad Fund“Small Grant” awarded by the International Visegrad Fund (www.visegradfund.org)“ V4 Trade and FDI Observer” for February 2012 – July 2012
The Institute of Economic Research of Slovak Academy of Sciences participates in a project supported by a “Small Grant” awarded by the International Visegrad Fund (www.visegradfund.org)“V4 Trade and FDI Observer” for February 2012 – July 2012.
A leader of the project is ICEG European Centre in Budapest which cooperates with three other institutions from the V4 region: The Polish Institute of International Affairs, Institute of Economic Research of Slovak Academy of Sciences and EUROPEUM Institute of European Policy.
The objective of the project is to launch a regular (quarterly) publication called “V4 Trade and Investment Observer”. The publication will provide a compact but professional analysis of the trends of external trade, foreign direct investment (FDI) and outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) in the four Visegrad countries. The publication will present the actual changes in trade and investment, fit into longer-term developments and provide an analysis of trade according to geographical and sectoral breakdown with putting accent on eventual specific events/changes. With regard to FDI/OFDI, beyond the geographical and sectoral presentation, we also devote attention to the activity of the most important companies in the V4. Special attention will be devoted to the comparability of the country analyses; this way, the publication series will be able to provide a useful regular overview of V4 trade and investment and will also pay special attention to intra-V4 developments in the field of trade and investment relations.Project events:
