Infostat BratislavaThe Project was focused on solving computational and theoretical-economic problems of building and processing computable general equilibrium (CGE) models occurring when apply them to the Slovak economy. The CGE models are applicable to the Slovak economy, thus they are suitable to describe a transitive economy. The model was successfully built on the basis of different social accounting matrices (SAM). It was learnt that standard solving procedures and functions used in the developed economy are applicable to the transitive Slovak economy. Theoretical analysis of the fundamental CGE model provided the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the model when either Cobb-Douglas, or Leontieff or CES (or their combination) production and utility functions were used.
Both, the classical and Keynesian versions of the static CGE model were analyzed. Next, the static model was enhanced by the recursive dynamics, i.e., the successive solutions of the static model were linked through time-depending parameters of the production functions.
The works in the institute of economic research SAS are focused on the development and application of an own CGE model of the Slovak economy while the accent was put on theoretical and methodological questions of its dynamism. The solution of the project was gradually applied to quantify various economical processes.PÁLENÍK, V., PEKÁR, J., (Ed.)
