Duration of the project: 01/2021 - 12/2023
ID number: VEGA 2/0150/21Economic modelling has an important role in economic policy-making; it makes it possible to anticipate future developments, helps to imagine it in variant scenarios and is able to predict the possible effects of economic changes before they are implemented. The main goal of the project is further development, interconnection and application of existing models developed at the Institute of Economic Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (IER SAS). By combining different types of models, we can get a more comprehensive picture of functioning and relations in the economy and the labour market. Emphasis will be placed on developments in the integration of micro and macroeconomic models, with the ambition to develop a modelling method applicable to other countries. The partial goal of the project is to make applications of models able to address current and future challenges of economic policy, such as the impact of COVID19 on economy and labour market, or the effects of automatisations in various sectors of the economy.
