The institutional library provides its services in a differentiated manner as the user may come from the Slovak Academy of Sciences or from elsewhere.
Terms of delivering services are stipulated in the Library Order (downloading in the PDF form 
).
The user of institutional library services is bound to adhere not only to the rules of library order but also to the internal instructions of the library staff. Institutional library delivers the following services:
- Loan services:
on presentation (i. e. for study in the library room), extramural loans (i. e. loans for use at home), inter-library loans - Consultation, information, reference services on funds, catalogues and library services as well as on editing activity of the institute
- Promotional new books displays – accruals to funds
- Reprography services – for extramural users for a consideration according to the price list contained in the Library Order.
