The paper tends to point out some of the aspects of current distribution of the wealth in the world and factors that seems to have a significant impact on it. Natural resources have an important role in measuring the wealth of country or region. Crude oil as one of the most used natural resources worldwide presents an indicator, which price is influenced by various factors. The paper shows development of crude oil prices and its influence on development in worlds largest economies and also shows relation among currency issues and oil price development.
