Global economic crisis of 2008 has gradually transformed into overall crisis of Western societies with ever-growing debt, growing income and assets inequality, decline in social trust, decline in trust in democratic institutions, rise of far right political parties in many countries. Economic crisis are the product of social relationships, which are built on the rules governing societies, that is, they are not the result of natural laws that are unchangeable and to which societies must adopt to. The book looks into the phenomenon of crisis from this perspective and attempts to identify the root institutional causes in society's setup, which generate social processes of a kind that culminate into global economic and social crisis.
