The Institute of Economic Research SAS, in cooperation with the project partners, organized on 28 June 2023 the national event with the aim of presenting a pilot initiative for young NEETs aged 25-29. The event took place directly at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Representatives from the Ministry, as well as the Central Office of Labor, Social Affairs and Family and the Institute of Social Policy attended the event and showed interest in this pilot project in view of the possible creation of future measures to support youth employment in the green job market. The event was also held online, allowing representatives of partner organizations from Malta, Italy, Poland and Lithuania to participate remotely.
The event was divided into two blocks. The first block presented the project itself and its funding through the EEA and Norway Grants program. The second block focused on the presentation of results regarding the effectiveness of active labor market policies in Slovakia, as well as on the presentation of a possible approach to identify job applicants with high risk of long-term inactivity.
