This article is focused on methodological aspects of analyzing needs and behaviour of older people in EU countries. A special attention was paid to income side and consumer behaviour. Basis for research, characteristics of data base and sources of used data are formulated. We hypothesize on studied parameters which will give framework for discussion about the impact of demand structure of older people (households) on sectors of Slovak export.
