Global economic crisis caused change of investment strategies lots of investors by the first phase. The combination of lacks of financial resources in countries attached by the crisis on the one hand and excesses of real financial recourses of large institutional investors on the other hand, it is the result of changes in financial market. The need of obtaining financial resources caused reduction of certain Protectionist measures and slightly pushed reflection on the national sovereignty disruption of individual countries into the background.
During the crisis has become an important mobilization of sovereign funds – the largest holders of finances that can be used not only promptly, but even strategically for countries future needs. To consider their function, which is involved in stabilization of crisis attached economies as selfless would be more than naive. It’s possible to see creation of new world map in background, in which economically strong countries are splitting fields of its competence.
The Sovereign funds are new important phenomenon used as part of economical and geopolitical trends. Similar as the hedge funds, plays a role of key investors. Until hedge funds concentrate resources of private investors, sovereign funds are considered as state funding used to reach the owner’s countries goals.
Intention of publication is to spread knowledge in expanding China on global markets using activities of sovereign funds and to present the key context of investment strategies in the country by international measures. Moreover economical and financial aspects, to the attention are entering geopolitical questions allows to formulate opinions on next development in Asian region. Focal affected areas are: foreign investments and reorientation of China’s economic policy, internationalization of China’s currency and strategic partnership of China with Russia.
Monography is part of solving project VEGA 2/0004/12 Paradigms of future changes in 21st century (geopolitical, economic and cultural aspects).
