The Director of the Institute for Economic Research, Miroslav Štefánik, was invited to give a lecture at the International Workshop on Computational Economics and Econometrics (IWcee2025), held from December 3 to 5, 2025, in Rome. In his lecture titled “Harvesting the enhanced functionality of machine learning in active labor market policy impact evaluation,” he discussed the potential of using advanced machine-learning techniques to evaluate the impacts of active labor market policies.
The 13th edition of the workshop focused on large language models and other advanced computational techniques for societal insights. Participants from universities and research institutions discussed the latest approaches, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, innovative data sources, and their contributions to public policy and society.
