Researchers from the Institute of Economic Research participated in the final workshops held on 27 January 2026 at Europe House in Belgrade and on 29 January 2026 at the Institute of Economics-Skopje in Skopje. The workshops were organised as part of the project, which aims to identify the causes of long-term unemployment among women in Serbia and North Macedonia. This project is supported by the Visegrad Fund.
The aim of the events was to exchange experiences and discuss ways to activate long-term unemployed women aged 50 and over. As part of the programme, Ivan Lichner presented Slovakia’s experience in this field. The workshops also included structured and informal discussions not only with project partners (the Institute of Economic Sciences, the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow, and the Institute of Economics-Skopje) but also with participants representing ministries, labour offices, and employers.
