This study was compiled by the IOM International Organization for Migration Bratislava in its function
as the National Contact Point (NCP) of the Slovak Republic in the European Migration Network
(EMN). This national study follows the common specifi cations and methodology prepared by the
European Migration Network. The study was compiled by external expert contracted by IOM in
2010 and describes the period from 2009 onwards. The presented statistics cover the period from
2004 to 2009.
